Welcome to the Governing Body of St Martins School

We are a group of individuals who all have the interests of the school at heart. The role of a school governor is often described as a “critical friend”, and this is what we strive, collectively, to be.

We meet regularly to look at a very wide range of objectives including creating an innovative curriculum and building a learning culture which will inspire children. Our aim is to review the quality of the teaching and the spiritual development of our pupils and whether they feel safe and supported as they progress through the school.

We work in close partnership with the Head and other members of the senior leadership team to set the strategic direction of the school. Our role is to support their decision making and also to use our collective skills to question and challenge them, all in the interests of achieving the best outcome for the children.

As Governors we are accountable to the parents and wider community for the direction of the school. As a new school we are actively seeking new Governors, so if you feel you have the passion and skills to become involved please contact us at email: office@fraysacademytrust.org
